Translation: I was noodling around, and it emerged from the noodling. The tab is written such that you can follow along with the recording.

Flatt and Scruggs recorded BRCH in B flat; so capo up 3 if you want to play along with the recording.
The first break resembles the way Shelton played BTS, but it is not note-for-note.

It's rather different from the older version, being much faster and having an altered melodic structure, but the link is evident with some study and playing it sure is fun. I was interested in learning to play and sing a song that was never meant for banjo in a clawhammer style, and this is what I came up with! In other words, the notes in the tab corresponding to the notes played with Keith tuners are placeholders, and I used the âchange noteâ function to sound the relevant notes in the MIDI. In the first, full measure, I use my pinky for the hammer-on to facilitate an easier maneuver for the ring finger on the 3rd string-7th fret and the middle finger on the 2nd string-2nd fret, but if that isn't comfortable for you, do what is!

It has a remarkable internal logic, a flow of melody notes, which is not surprising given Billâs penchant for mathematics. It isn't anticipated as a 16th note, and your picking index finger jumps up to the 4th string to execute the slide in the following measure. As they differ a lot throughout the song I thought it better to tab out the different pieces separately.
